In this all-day, in-class program the attendees will learn to assess the significant aspects of driver operations. Course materials are provided to assist in this process.
The trainees will learn how to assess using a demerit-point system. This system will be outlined in terms of assessing both experienced and new drivers. In such a process, the assessment officer scores the driver by subtracting points for errors, and at the end of the session has a numeric score to interpret.
The trainees will learn the differences between testing a new driver and testing an experienced driver and the common mistakes that they will see.
The final part will be a practical exercise, done to simulate a pass or fail of a commercial driver, based on the material learned in the course. This is an in-class program only and does not include an on-road component.
