Look out Prince George, here we come again!

2018’s Speaker Series on Health and Safety conference was a great success so we’re headed back! This year we’ve added an additional speaker, a post-conference course on Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committee, and moved the venue to The Coast Prince George Hotel.

We’ve invited Linda Edgecombe, Hall of Fame speaker and award winning philanthropist, to come to enlighten and entertain us with her Keynote “Breaking Busy. Energy and Resilience in Crazy Times”. Linda promises to pack the talk with easy solutions that will enable you to take back your work day and personal life, all with a generous dose of humour. In fact, it may end up being the best laugh you’ve had in a long time!

In today’s tough labour market, successful businesses know that by staying abreast of the top HR issues will help them stay ahead of the competition. Our Closing Keynote Angela Splinter, CEO of Trucking HR Canada, is coming from Ottawa to deliver “Modernizing Your HRApproach” and to discuss the trends, and tools and resources you need to attract, recruit, and retain workers. This is a must see!

In between we’ve Dave Earle, President and CEO of BC Trucking Association, coming back again this time to discuss “Diversity in Transportation: Bullying, Harassment, and the Acceptance of Others”; Cathy Cook, President of Safe Harbour Consulting to speak on “Mental Health in Transportation: What You Need To Know”; and Jacqueline Morrison, Industry Specialist with WorkSafeBC introducing “Industry Driven New Safety Resources”, the development of WorkSafeBC’s three new commercial trucking videos.

Additionally, we listened to each and every one of you who expressed last year the need for Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee (JOHSC) training and we have created a day just for you! On October 23rd we’ll be hosting this course at the same venue.

For more information, and to register, click here. (Psst sign up for both the Conference and the JOHSC course and save! Early bird specials are on now until August 30/19.)

See you in Prince George!
