2018 Was A Busy Year For SafetyDriven – TSCBC

The year 2018 was a busy and productive year for SafetyDriven – TSCBC.

For starters; we attended and promoted a good number of health and safety events during the year.

In May we hosted our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on May 10 at the Sandman Signature Hotel in Langley – an event to which all members were invited.

SafetyDriven – TSCBC helped promote the Day of Mourning April 28 and, from May 6 – 12 we participated in NAOSH Week. With Bison Transport and Quality Move Management where we hosted Safety Days and we once again participated in TRUXPO – Western Canada’s largest trucking and logistics show – at TRADEX in Abbotsford.

We successfully launched awareness campaigns that included:
Site Safety
Overexertion
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Moving & Storage
– Re-launch of Be Truck Aware

National Trucking Week was held from September 2 – 8 and SafetyDriven – TSCBC encouraged members to celebrate the national event in creative ways.

SafetyDriven – TSCBC’s Jimmy Sandhu started a ‘Join my #Movember’ team to help raise funds during Movember – Prostate Awareness Month. On Monday, November 26, at the annual NAOSH banquet in Burnaby, SafetyDriven – TSCBC’s was presented the award for the overall winner in the Safety and Health Association category.

Our Speaker Series was held in Prince George and was a hit!

SafetyDriven – TSCBC continued its full schedule workshops, courses and on-site visits and our professionals were kept busy throughout the year providing hands-on assistance to our members.

2018 was a busy year during which a great deal was accomplished on behalf of our members.

We look forward to what 2019 has in store!
