TSCBC announces appointment of its Executive Director

The Trucking Safety Council of BC is very pleased to announce that Rob Weston has been appointed as full-time Executive Director.

Rob’s appointment follows the approval of long-term funding for the Council by WorkSafeBC based on a comprehensive business plan that Rob prepared while serving as the Council’s acting Executive Director over the past year. Rob brings to this position over thirty years of trucking and transportation industry experience. He has worked in both the public and private sectors in various senior positions, including General Manager of BCTA, Senior Policy Advisor in the Ministry of Transportation and Highways and President of a BC-based trucking company. Most recently, Rob has been the Principal of TransWest Consulting, working in the areas of transportation regulation, policy, safety, human resources and operations.

His knowledge, background and experience will be invaluable in advancing the role that TSCBC will play in improving trucking safety in BC” said Dietmar Krause, Chairman of the Council’s Board.
