Mentorship Program Terms of Participation

Trucking Safety Council of BC Terms

Companies seeking initial certification are eligible for mentorship in developing their safety management systems. The mentorship program is provided free of charge to SafetyDriven – TSCBC member companies and at cost to non-members. The mentorship program consists of;

  1. A high level needs analysis that identifies gaps in the safety management system (Safety Evaluation)
  2. An action plan derived from the Safety Evaluation
  3. Up to 20 hours of consultation with a SafetyDriven – TSCBC Safety Advisor to assist in structuring and developing your program
  4. Ongoing contact with the SafetyDriven – TSCBC Safety advisors to ensure program development continues

Company Terms

The SafetyDriven – TSCBC has limited resources therefore companies participating in the mentorship program will be responsible for;

  1. Cooperating with SafetyDriven – TSCBC Safety Advisors during the Safety Evaluation and follow-up sessions
  2. Discussing all recommendations with the Joint health and Safety Committee/Safety Representative and Executive Management
  3. Completing the Action Plan to indicate intended actions around the recommendations provided
  4. Implementing recommendations as agreed by the Joint health and Safety Committee/Safety Representative and Executive Management
  5. Communicating implementation difficulties to the SafetyDriven – TSCBC
  6. Updating the action plan as recommendations are implemented
