Advisory Committee Volunteers Wanted

The Council is calling for volunteers to serve on it’s COR Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) and its Program Advisory Committee (PAC).

The PAC provides guidance to the Council on the development of safety programs, training courses and industry safety standards.  We are looking for individuals working in the trucking or moving and storage industry who have a strong background in occupational health and safety, program development, training and safety management and who want to make a difference in improving industry safety performance.

The TAC provides guidance on the development of Certificate of Recognition (COR) training programs, auditing standards, quality assurance processes and program standards.  Members of the TAC are expected to have a background in occupational health and safety and experience in training and auditing for safety performance.  Members should also have experience with the COR program.  We are particularly looking for individuals who work for a company with between 3 and 19 employees as we are begin the development of our small employer COR program.

Each committee meets monthly or as required at the TSCBC offices in Langley.  If you would like further information about either of these committees or wish to participate on our advisory committees, please contact Rob Weston, TSCBC Executive Director.
