Types of COR

Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) COR

This certification is based on the audit results of your health and safety management system. A health and safety management system ensures that there is a comprehensive health and safety program implemented and functioning to ensure workers and workplaces are safe and secure from injury, illness and disease. This is accomplished through identifying, assessing, and controlling risks to workers in all workplaces. The scope and complexity of the management system vary according to the type of workplace and the nature of the business.

Injury Management/Return to Work (RTW) COR

This certification is based on the audit results of your injury management/RTW system. An injury management/RTW system is a process put in place by an employer, in cooperation with workers and managers, to help injured workers return to meaningful, productive work in a safe and timely manner. The options available for an effective injury management/ RTW system vary according to the size and type of workplace and the nature of the business.

Please note: The WorkSafeBC temporary freeze of Return to Work (RTW/IM) COR certification remains unchanged.

Although there is a temporary freeze, existing RTW/IM certified companies are able to keep their certification subject to meeting COR Program maintenance requirements.
