Business Plan
The Trucking Safety Council of BC has produced a draft business plan intended to provide the blueprint for improved truck safety in BC.
The business plan defines how the Safety Council will be governed, organized, staffed and funded. The plan discusses the programs and services the Council will provide for the industry, including the new Certificate of Recognition (COR) program recently approved by WorkSafeBC.
The Trucking Safety Council’s primary client group are the employers and employees in the WorkSafeBC General Trucking and Moving and Storage Classification Units (CU’s), who will fund the Council. Employers in these groups will automatically become members of the Safety Council. The town hall meetings will provide the opportunity for the Council to receive welcome input from industry employers and others on the plan so far and allow the Council to incorporate your suggestions into the final draft to be completed in the fall.
If you would like to attend one of these meetings, please check on the meeting icon on the left of this page. If you are unable to attend, we would still like to hear from you. Please provide us with your comments, by clicking HERE.
